I have no idea who you are for, anyways i think the Lakers will win in 5 or 6 most likely 6. The spurs don't even come close to being the jazz at home not to mention the only player to play good from the lakers was kobe. I do...I was a guest of the organization for the last home game and heard a number of people in Dr. Buss' box say offhand that they would love to have 21 come to LA... if they dont have to part with Bynum, Farmar or Walton they will probably pull the trigger... there is nothing in Minn for KG...just more playing without a competitive team...in a town with afwul winter weather...

I think they have to part with Lamar odom in order to land KG...i think it would be a good deal cuz with all the injuries lamar has its not like he has any more productive years than KG has.

Plus on top of that KG is playing on a top notch level and he doesn't demand the ball but he does the other stuff quietly....he juss gets the job done. I would want KG here and part with lamar.

Not without getting rid of Kobe first. No star player will ever want to team up with Kobe after Phil Jackson published his book. Kevin Garnett probably would rather retire. There is no way Kobe will "share the glory" with another player. Kobe wants to be the hero. Now he is the hero of a tragedy.
Without losing Andrew Bynum or Lamar Odom, no. Garnett claims that he wants to stay in Minnesota anyways. I think the Lakers would be willing to trade Odom for a post presence like Garnett but wouldn't want to trade Bynum since he is still young a developing. If they weren't willing to trade him for Jason Kidd, I doubt they'd trade him for Garnett.

NO! They would have to give up at least Bynum, Farmar and maybe even one of their forwards (Luke or Trevor). Its not worth it, they have a great team right now and everyone is playing great together
honestly that's a good idea, but SALARY CAP iss getting on their way, they already have three luxurious players in the name of Bryant, Gasol, and Odom. getting Kidd might mean another blockbuster trade. remember during Gasol's trade, they sign-and-trade Aaron Mckie (waived by LAL) just to match Gasol's salary. if they do that again that means they need to give up at least three good supporting players just to match Kidd's luxurious salary, and its not really worth it.

and somehow the LAL have Fisher, which is veteran point guard, and a D-League star point guard, Farmar.

with regards to Kidd, Dallas might be a perfect fit for him, but Dallas' GM Mark Cuban is not on the role of getting soon to retire players, not unless his desperate for a Championship. I think Kidd should go to a team without a legit superstar. Memphis, Clippers, Minnesota, and of course Portland.

The lakers would be good as soon as they get rid of batty boy/chi chi man kobe bryant. I always feel that they should trade him to the mavericks for a great package such as jason terry, devin harris, and josh howard and a first year team to have a very young talented team. Imagine Lamar Odom as your leader, Bynum developing more offensively, Howard as your great 2nd or 3th scorer, and great depth at guards devin harris, jason terry, and derek fisher.

Ive been a laker fan for a long time so i know better then to get too hipped up, obviously its too early, every team out there is still trying to get there rhythm. they look good but you have to keep in mind that both there wins have come off teams playing back-to-back games. lets hope they keep this up though even with good well rested teams.

this is the best rivalry in the league, dating back to the glory days of the 60s (when it was Baylor, West, [and later on] Wilt for the Lakers up against Bill Russell, Coach Red Auerbach, and the classic Celtics dynasty) and the 80s (Bird-Parrish-McHale for the Celtics vs Magic-Kareem-Worthy of the Showtime Lakers squad)...

it would surely be a classic match that would go down the wire, and the NBA ratings would surely hit its best...

What would be exciting, should Boston and LA square off, is how the matchups would fare... the trio of Garnett-Pierce-Allen up against the fast rising Kobe-Gasol-Odom trio... and of course, there's also the core of the 2 squads that would help make the difference... Rondo, Cassell, Big Baby Davis, Perkins for Boston, against Fisher, Vlad, Sasha, Turiaf, Farmar, etc.

This is one matchup that i would really look forward to, and may the best team win... I want the Lakers to win, yes... being a diehard Lakers fan, but i admit that they will be underdogs against the taller and stronger Boston squad...

Honestly? Neither team. I am not hoping for anyone. They're both tough teams. Boston Celtics is a dangerous team despite having a hard time and being exposed in the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons have the experience like the Spurs. They have a younger, deeper and better bench than the defending champs. But as an Lakers and NBA Fan, I would love to see the Lakers VS Celtics in the finale for a fairy-tale Finals match-up. It gives you goose bumps watching the old powers squaring out again for the championship!

They wouldnt have home court over Detroit or boston as far as i know. I would like to see them take on the Pistons. If they take down one of the recent champs in the Spurs on the way to win i want to see them take the other. Detroits been to the conference finals and won a ring together. Lets take them on. Boston hasnt proven anything to us yet and I dont really think they are going to. They may beat Detroit in 7 but come on it took them 7 games to beat Atlanta. If I was a Lakers fan I wouldn't care who will they face in the Finals, here's my point:

1- Detroit: By pride!!! That's a rematch for 2004, and every Lakers fans would be waiting for that Finals.

2- Boston: Old rivalry, the logical finals: #1 in the East meets #1 in the West.
My family wants Boston cause it would bring back the 80's rivalry but I still want Detroit cause it would give them the revenge they wanted since 2004, and to prove that the Big Three are a fluke and that Rasheed will never predict on winning games in the playoffs

Why does it take Kobe getting a technical foul to start getting the game called evenly on both sides. The free throws were Boston 38 the Lakes 10. Give me a break! Even the broadcasters were mentioning it. One thing would happen...Laker foul. The next time it would happen with Boston the ball would go the other way. Watching games like this is frustrating because the game is not being called evenly on both sides. Well until the other teams superstar calls out the officials and they start to open their eyes.

Playing at home is HUGE in the play-offs, as shown by the huge discrepancy between wins at home and wins on the road. Also, if I recall correctly, the Lakers are unbeaten at home this postseason. 10 points may be a bit much, but I still see the Lakers winning at home tomorrow.

Not really I mean there was some nights he scored well offensively but he cant play defense if his life depended on it, im glad the lakers got Fisher so farmar and crittenton can learn from him.

No they did not. Smush is fantastic in the regular season but ALWAYS smells like poo and chokes in the playoffs.
as i analyz it, the lakers org doesn't really made a mistake on waving parker, he is young but based on its playoff run, he lucks maturity, defensive stamina to guard guys like nash and others, so returning fisher is a good idea.
Ok depends on what you looking at, smush is a great ball player in the season but when it comes to playoff, he a totally different ball player compaired to season. if you want smush for season, then that is fine with me but if your looking for a player to help your team in the play-off then smush is not the answer. does that help?

Smush is too little to play shooting guard. Smush can NOT play defense. The Lakers got killed all season long by the opposing teams point guards. There post play was pretty pathetic too. They need to address point guard play (especially defense) %26amp; interior play (rebounding, defense, then offense)

Smush should go overseas. Develop his game. At least he will get to play. He would not start for most NBA teams.

I agree that he is a scoring pg so but the lakers have a shooting guard and he's Kobe Bryant.. I guess Kobe could play small foward but then Odem goes to Power foward and kwame brown would go center.. But who would be point? Crittenton? The lakers need a point desperately and I hope he could be the answer. And I think Kwame is an average player who is rather overpaid but u ppl decide. All and all I think the Lakers are in a weird situation with their star wanting out and signing Fisher was a good descision and he could mentor Crittenton since he's been with the lakers before so he knows the offense pretty well. Cutting Smush Parker might become a thorn in their side but in thelong run this may help them out

No, the Lakers didn't making a mistake by not bringing back Smush.

He wears his emotions on his sleeve and that affects his game. He won't ever be able to play for a coach that reprimands him on the bench during a game.

I don't think the Lakers would have done anything with him at the SG position either. There are a lot of point guards that also score when needed: Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, and Tony Parker to name a few.

Keep in mind, the idea was the refs rigged the game to boost finals ratings, not because the Lakers paid them off too, so if that really happened, take it out on the refs not the Lakers unless it comes out that the Lakers were paying the refs off.

Does anybody remember Game 7 against the Sac Queens? The Kings blew it at home, they were horrible at the line, 3 point and turnovers. This is when Arco Arena was the loudest arena in the NBA. I can't see this series going more than 5, and it might be a clean sweep. The suns are a much better basketball team and the Lakers have been struggling late in the season, especially with all the injuries. They are becoming dependent on Kobe putting up 50 every night, and that will not get them very far. Also, the Suns want to win in about 4-5 games so they can get some rest going into the next round since they don't have as deep of a bench as many teams and they don't want to tire out. The bottom line is that the Suns are a better team and will put the Lakers away early.

I say Shaq and Jerry Buss. Shaq needed to step down and let Kobe be the undisputed leader of the team just like Kareem did when Magic joined the Lakers back in the day. Jerry Buss also had to make a decision between Shaq and Kobe. He ultimately made the right choice in Kobe.

Shaq is old and out of shape. If he would have worked half as hard in the 2004 season with Lakers as he did in the first season with the Heat, the Lakers would have won the championship that year. Look at Shaq today, he is going to be out 4-6 weeks due to surgery. Buss made the right choice by sticking with the young Kobe over the out of shape, aging Shaq.

Phil Jackson is the only coach in the NBA who does this. He meets on the sideline with his coaching staff while he players talk to one another and they go over the play at the end of the timeout. It boggles my mind too- but hard to argue against 9 rings. He's the only coach in the league who does it- can't undestand it--- but hard to argue with the results.

They can sign him to 2 - 10 day contracts if they so wish, if they want him after the second 10 day contract, they have to sign him for the full season. With both Mihm and Bynum hurt they only have Kwame and Ronnie Turioff to play the center position.
I think it's a good move.. signing DJ with the lakers.. the lakers can help DJ by giving him training with Kareem. With his athletism, DJ can improve with training under Kareem. Plus.. If you believed the NBA is rigged then your an idiot. The NBA don't care who's in the Finals but off course they want the best match up for the best rating like the Lakers vs. Celtics. Just looked at last year Finals, the Cavs vs. Spurs, do you think the NBA want these to team in the Finals, these 2 teams produce one of the lowest rating in the NBA Finals history but they did make it to the Finals. You think David Stern want these 2 team in the Finals of course not but they earned fare and square and so they went to the Finals. The NBA is not rigged, the best 2 team always makes it to the Finals and the the very best team crowned the champion.
