10 day contract only for minimal money. They need a body on the bench. They can sign him to 2 - 10 day contracts if they so wish, if they want him after the second 10 day contract, they have to sign him for the full season. With both Mihm and Bynum hurt they only have Kwame and Ronnie Turioff to play the center position.
I think it's a good move.. signing DJ with the lakers.. the lakers can help DJ by giving him training with Kareem. With his athletism, DJ can improve with training under Kareem. Plus.. He's a rebound and defensive, he gets the ball.. give to Kobe.. kobe shots , win!.. how good is that? Kobe is a ball hog, and DJ is a giver.. good for all!
