In the 2001-2002 season the Lakers were 58-24. It was the 2000-2001 season that the Lakers went 56-26; and really, what is one game? Why didn't you put the 1999-2000 season? The Lakers were 67-15 in 2000. Get your facts right! Oh yeah, and who cares about the regular season? The playoffs are what matter.

what's the point? based on the records you use as an example, with shaq the overall record is far better. kobe is a great player but a pup when shaq was there. if kobe had gotten his wish from last summer he wouldn't have been there for this season. do you think for a second without acquiring gasol they would've had the record they do? lamar odom has been a maligned and under rated player is whole career. derek fisher is one of the best clutch shooters in the league. basketball or any sport for that matter is not a one player game. as proof, check the 2004 thru 2006 laker record with kobe and not much else. i rest my case.
Not a Laker hater but when the hell is the last time when Shaq played an 82 game, even 70 + season w/ them???? (I'm not sure if he has meaning the Lakers) but just imagine if he played 80 games at least......They would of been an 66 + winning team every year!!

KOBE the MVP is gonna take Lakers all the way, and for all the haters out there, you better get use seeing Lakers in the finals for the next (at least) 5 years
Not a hater, I'm a Laker fan, but:

2001-2002 58-24

1999-2000 67-15

1997-1998 61-21

Shaq left after 2004 as you clearly see in the lack of production, so numbers after that should not count.
2001-2002 is pretty much the same as this year, so I dont see what the big deal is. Its one game difference.
Yup, they probably wont get a ring, it will probably be like Celtics or Pistons or some team good like taht
watch when we win 75 games nex year!
