Did the Lakers make a mistake cutting Smush Parker?

Now I know a lot of people are going to disagree but I think Smush has game. I think the problem is all his talent revolves around scoring and he should be playing the SG not the point.

Not really I mean there was some nights he scored well offensively but he cant play defense if his life depended on it, im glad the lakers got Fisher so farmar and crittenton can learn from him.

No they did not. Smush is fantastic in the regular season but ALWAYS smells like poo and chokes in the playoffs.
as i analyz it, the lakers org doesn't really made a mistake on waving parker, he is young but based on its playoff run, he lucks maturity, defensive stamina to guard guys like nash and others, so returning fisher is a good idea.
Ok depends on what you looking at, smush is a great ball player in the season but when it comes to playoff, he a totally different ball player compaired to season. if you want smush for season, then that is fine with me but if your looking for a player to help your team in the play-off then smush is not the answer. does that help?
Have the Lakers done anything notable with Smush Parker running the point? He just isn't that good of a player. Sure, he can hit a few shots here %26amp; there but he is nothing more than a very average NBA player.

Smush is too little to play shooting guard. Smush can NOT play defense. The Lakers got killed all season long by the opposing teams point guards. There post play was pretty pathetic too. They need to address point guard play (especially defense) %26amp; interior play (rebounding, defense, then offense)

Smush should go overseas. Develop his game. At least he will get to play. He would not start for most NBA teams.
No because he was gonna be a distraction to the team and he was getting on Phil Jackson's nerves. They also started starting Jordan Farmer so he will be the point guard for them next season.

I agree that he is a scoring pg so but the lakers have a shooting guard and he's Kobe Bryant.. I guess Kobe could play small foward but then Odem goes to Power foward and kwame brown would go center.. But who would be point? Crittenton? The lakers need a point desperately and I hope he could be the answer. And I think Kwame is an average player who is rather overpaid but u ppl decide. All and all I think the Lakers are in a weird situation with their star wanting out and signing Fisher was a good descision and he could mentor Crittenton since he's been with the lakers before so he knows the offense pretty well. Cutting Smush Parker might become a thorn in their side but in thelong run this may help them out

I dun think so. I know I always laughed at him whenever he made unforced turnovers. I've seen a video on YouTube that shows him and Cook and how much they "suck." It just made me laugh.

No, the Lakers didn't making a mistake by not bringing back Smush.

He wears his emotions on his sleeve and that affects his game. He won't ever be able to play for a coach that reprimands him on the bench during a game.

I don't think the Lakers would have done anything with him at the SG position either. There are a lot of point guards that also score when needed: Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, and Tony Parker to name a few.

Frankly, it was a great move by the Lakers. Farmar will get a chance and D-Fish can mentor him.
